Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) Program
This effort is built on true community collaboration, uniting WIAR, local veterinarians, and, above all, compassionate individuals like you. Your involvement truly makes a difference in the lives of these animals.
WIAR coordinates and funds the program, but the hands-on work—trapping, arranging veterinary care, and returning cats to their habitats—is carried out by caring citizens. Your dedication and energy are what make this program possible.
WIAR is committed to covering 100% of the costs for every cat treated. We work with different veterinary practices, each with their own scheduling constraints, and we appreciate your understanding as we coordinate these services. Animal control officers serve as points of contact only and will guide you directly to WIAR for TNR assistance. The Warren County Board is generously providing partial reimbursement through their TNR fund for each Warren County cat treated, but these resources are limited and must be carefully managed.
Our startup funds are limited, and we stretch every dollar with care. Every fundraiser, donation, memorial gift, and in-kind contribution helps us continue this vital work—your generosity is the foundation of our success. Thank you for your compassion, your patience, and your commitment to teamwork. Together, we can make a difference in our community and build a brighter future for every cat we help.
